During combustion, among other things, water is released from the fuel in the form of steam. If the temperature of the flue gases is high enough, steam escapes through the chimney together with the flue gases. However, if the flue gas temperature is lower than a certain level, water vapor condensation will occur. Condensate contains combustion products that can be very aggressive, especially when burning wood or other solid fuels, and cause the formation of deposits on heat transfer surfaces, and in steel boilers also rapid corrosion. Blocked heat transfer surfaces increase the risk of resin formation and reduce combustion efficiency.

Laddomat Thermovar LK810 thermostatic pump group mixes cold return water from the heating system (or from the storage tank) with hot water from the boiler. This maintains the boiler return water at a given minimum temperature (55 ° C, 65 ° C, 70 ° C depending on the model) and the boiler works more efficiently. This process reduces the formation of deposits on heat transfer surfaces and the formation of aggressive condensate. The service life of the boiler is thus significantly longer. The higher the return temperature, the lower the risk of condensation. The pump group also contains a floating non-return valve that allows cooling of the boiler via thermosiphon circulation in case of power failure, while at the same time re-cooling of the storage tank by the shut-off boiler is prevented.
